Christmas Cookies - Manger Cookies

I have been saving the best cookie for last.  These manger cookies are my absolute favorite!  These cookies will take some time, but they are worth it.  Good news is that you start the little manger silhouettes ahead of time.

Christmas Cookies - Snow Covered Trees

I made another set of Christmas cookies to celebrate the true meaning of this special day.  As the song goes, "It is the night of our dear Savior's birth."
This evening, as I walked through the woods, there was a light snow falling.  Everything looked so peaceful.  I think that perhaps a light dusting of snow is the best tree decoration ever.  What do you think?  Let's make some snow covered trees.

Christmas Cookies - Snowman Trees

It's time for Christmas cookie number two.  I call these snowman trees.  If you have a better name, I'm open to suggestions.  They are a fun twist on the tree shape.

Christmas Cookies - Classic Mitten

How many of you have started making Christmas cookies? They make such great gifts.  I plan on giving some away, all neatly packaged, to some friends.
I thought it would be fun to share them with all of you too.

I'll start with the classic mitten cookie.

Rustic Frosting Technique - Video

Hey there everyone!  I hope you are all enjoying this lovely Christmas season.  Just this morning it started snowing here.  With the stockings hung on the mantle, tree lights twinkling, and the smell of cake coming from the oven, it really feels like Christmas.  But you didn't come here to read about my weather report.  You came here for cake.  I have a surprise for you today.  I made a little video for you.  Nothing fancy, but hopefully helpful.
