Malted Mousse Mini-tarts -A Spring Dessert If I've Ever Seen One!

Spring is definitely in the air!  Take a deep breath and take it all in.

Yesterday I decided that I had to make these for my lady's Bible study.  I've been holding on to this recipe for about 4 years now.  I'm so glad that I finally made it!

It all starts with the crust.  The ingredients are put into a food processor....

and turned into crumbs.  Did I tell you it has hazelnuts in it?  It smells so good!  Add a little melted butter and you've got a delectable, nutty crust.

I used a small scoop to divide the crust evenly into the muffin tin.  Press it down with anything that works, even your clean fingers.  I used the handle end of my juicer and it was great.  Bake at 350 F for approximately 5 minutes and then let them cool.

While the crusts are cooling, make this dreamy filling.  I'll warn you, this will dirty several bowls, but it's so worth it.  I wanted to stick my head in that mixing bowl and lick it when I was finished....but I didn't...but I wanted to............but I didn't.

Fill the little crusts with the malted mousse filling and chill.  Garnish with malted milk candy eggs.  At my store I found the Robin Egg version.
